Minister for Innovation, Industry and Science applauds Oventus 3D printing facility opened at CSIRO’s Clayton site

The Minister for Innovation, Industry and Science, the Hon Greg Hunt released a video message on 8 December to applaud the opening of the Oventus 3D titantium printing facility at CSIRO’s Clayton site last week. Click below to view the Hon Greg Hunt MP’s message.

This facility will manufacture the titantium component of the O2Vent oral devices via 3D printing. These devices feature a unique patented airway to deliver air to the back of the throat, and are designed to assist sufferers of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

In a press release dated 8 December, the Hon Greg Hunt MP referred to the opening of the facility as a great example of Australian research and technology being rolled out for the benefit of Australians. “The facility will manufacture the 2Vent devices that have the potential to change the lives of millions of people around the world with sleep-disordered breathing”.
