Studies show that more than 75 per cent of people with sleep-disordered breathing improve their sleep significantly using any oral device on the market. About 54 per cent improve to measure an AHI level of less than 10. Of those who do not improve to less than 10, 21 per cent of these will improve their AHI level by at least half.
Of the hundreds of people who are now using the Oventus Clearway DeviceTM, 100 per cent are happy and will continue to use their device. More than 93 per cent have reported improved sleep quality and energy.
If you?re new to the device here some expert tips to get started:
I?ve just been diagnosed with sleep apnoea. Can I expect Medicare or private health insurance to cover the Oventus Clearway Device?
Rebates for the Oventus Clearway DeviceTM are available through private health insurers, not Medicare. Only x-rays are rebatable through Medicare. To find out the rebate that your health will give you, contact your health insurance provider.
Do I still need a CPAP machine?
Most people will not need a CPAP machine. Most people ? even people with severe sleep apnoea who do not like using a CPAP machine ? find that the Oventus Clearway Device will relieve their sleep apnoea on its own. A small percentage of people with very severe sleep apnoea may find that they need to still be attached to a CPAP machine. The design of the Oventus Clearway Device allows connectivity to the CPAP with the Oventus Clearway PAP available in the near future as a replacement to their existing CPAP mask treatment.
How long do I need to wear my device through the night for it to be effective?
Our recent clinical studies have shown patients who used the device for 93 per cent of sleep time, more than five nights a week, reduced the incidence of obstructive sleep apnoea.
Is it suitable if I have dentures?
Yes. The Oventus Clearway Device fits over dentures with ease. Please contact us if you are interested and we can discuss your situation with you.
Will I still be able to breathe through my nose?
Yes. The Oventus Clearway DeviceTM does not prevent you from still breathing through your nose if you want to. It is positioned in your mouth to create an airway through your mouth as well.
How do I clean my Oventus Clearway Device?
It?s easy to care for and clean your Oventus Clearway DeviceTM.After each time you use your device, rinse it in luke-warm water. Clean your device using a toothbrush (not the same one you use to clean your teeth with) as toothpaste can damage your device.
Shake as much water off your device as possible and dry with a clean tissue or towel and store in your storage box. We recommend cleaning your device twice a week us an ultrasonic cleaner and antibacterial tablet provided with your device.
Half fill the tub with water and place the tablet and your device in tub ensuring it is completely submerged. Turn the cleaner on for 15 minutes. Rinse both the device and the tub well in warm water and dry as you do daily.
Who should I call if there?s a problem?
For technical difficulties with the device it?s best to check-in with your Clearway Clinician.

I am interested to learn more about the mouth piece.
I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea in April 2015 and have trialled a
CPAP machine with no success.
Please can you quote me a price for one of these. If not successful, am I entitled to a refund?
I live in Perth. Could you please give me details of your representative here.
